Traffic is awwwwwwwful in Louisville when school starts back, ugh.

Bus wreck on Turkeyfoot Road had it shut down this morning. If I had to guess, the bus pulled out in front of a car that hit the bus's rear wheel. Not sure of any injuries as ambulance was gone by the time I got up there. However, there were still a handful of kids on the bus that didn't seem fazed about what just happened.

In front of the new Drees' street just down from Stevenson. It had southbound completely shut down. Pure guess on my part, but I think the bus was turning left out of that street and the car hit it. The bus was facing southbound at a slight angle. The car was pointing west with it's front end destroyed. It happened between 7:30 and 8:00.

I know exactly where you are talking about. I'm just slightly north of that off Turkeyfoot but when didn't notice any emergency personnel or backup when I left at 7.

We're south of there. Wife went through around 7:20/30 without any issues. I went through around 8, and it was already backed up.

There's a sentiment here in Jefferson County that there are a lot of bus accidents, and a lot of people want to blame it on the bus drivers. I'd bet 90% of the accidents involving buses are from people running into buses, not the other way around.

The police posted about the accident, and no kids were injured. They also posted pictures of the accident. I'm thinking my guess isn't accurate after seeing all the damage.

Would like to add the reminder to also STOP texting while driving. Our kids - and everyone riding in vehicles - matter to someone.

At 8am, wow. Looks like he crossed over into their lane based on the pics on the news. When I drove by this morning, I was next to a car so I didn’t see all the damage down the side. I just saw the damage at the rear wheel and positioning of the vehicles, which made me initially think the bus pulled out in front of the car.
