Frankfort 20 Trimble County 8

Trimble Co. deserves a world of "great jobs" for what they pulled off in Bedford this year; having watched that team in Danville 3 weeks or so ago they didn't look like any teams that I had seen play the Ads in the past 4-5 years. They had a slew of good players, and were fundamentally sound and got after it! Coach P. has that program going in the right direction; if you want a quality program you have to start with, in my opinion, how you are perceived by your peers. Many on this site have praised their season and rightfully so. Now, work on becoming a top-notch program by doing things like:

1. improving your field, including stands for fans

2. Make off-season workouts/conditioning a top priority

3. Always work on team chemistry, even off the practice fields

4. Set your goals high and keep them there-don't just settle for a winning season, shoot for Regional titles/trips to semifinals and Championship games!

Good luck and we'll see you in Danville this Friday night!!

I am sure that the team and coaches will appreciate your kind words. A little over a year ago, this team broke the state's longest losing streak. They have come a long way and are not finished yet.

Refs were terrible to start the second half...Frankfort was up 6-0 at the half, and on Trimble's first drive, they started throwing flags on Frankfort like crazy. This is when Trimble got their only score...The refs threw out a Frankfort fan that was standing 10 or 15 yards off the side of the field, yet there were Trimble County fans standing on the back line of the endzone on the opposite side of the field. I encountered some very rude Trimble fans (they were younger people), in the stands that were saying things that need not be said in front of the younger children in attendance...Nevertheless, the better team prevailed...

On a side note, something has to be done about Trimble's field...It is absoulutely awful. I dont believe I've ever been there once that the field was dry. Mud everywhere, and water puddles 4 inches deep....No conditions for playing football, and IMO it is a health hazard to the athletes...I think the KHSAA should be able to mandate that in some way.

This may be the stupdiest post that I have ever read since I have been looking at this site. First of all the refs were terrible, against Trimble. Holding before the half on Trimble was very bad call, Trimble would have had the ball 1st and goal at the 3 yard line. Face mask call on Bird never happened ask Frankfort coaches and they will tell you the same thing, and Bird got his head tore off on the kickoff that caused him to fumble. Spots were awful, Bird had first down on 4th down which would have set up 1st and goal at the Frankfort 5 yard line with 6 minutes to go in the game. Just be lucky that the ball bounced straight up to EJ or you would be coming back to our terrible field.

And About our field yes it is bad, but the other night every field in the state was bad. I guess you must have been asleep Wed., Thur, and Friday  because it flooded all over the state. That may be why the field was wet.

Think of some other excuses why you all most lost to poor little Trimble.

The ball didn't try to float away last night did it ? I've been there when it has. Not joking. Nothing against the Trimble program is meant here, but it absolutely has the worst field in this part of the state when we get heavy rains like we've had here lately. Congratulations to Trimble on a winning regular season, and good luck next week verses Danville.

You must not have played at Carroll or Owen when it rains.

Congrats to Trimble County on a hard fought game.

The officials were bad but they where bad for both teams. The head official actually apologized to the Frankfort staff twice for their mistakes. I do not believe that it was home cooking. Because trimble got what I thought was 2 bad calls.

Field was a mess, but both teams had to play on it. I just glad no one got hurt.

Frankfort missed 2 chances in the 1st half to score penalties killed the drive.

Trimble recovered a botch punt to set up there only score. Fields broke an 80 yard run late to give FHS the lead. On the next kick off Trimble fumble to set up the last touchdown.

Good luck to Trimble County the rest of the year. They have some good kids and a solid coaching staff.

Frankfort wake up and get ready for a war over the next couple of weeks.

Fields broke an 80 run on a fluke play on a "botched" snap that went over his head and fell in his hands, Raiders had the actual play stopped.

Raiders had the ball twice inside the 5, once a bad holding call brought it back, and the other a bad spot turned the ball over to the panthers. :thumb:

There were semi ponds on the field... Trimble has the worst field in KY!!!

Maybe, but when it rains things get wet,you should have learned that in 1st grade.

It is a good thing that Trimble didn't win then. No one would have attributed it to their talent or coaching, simply to a bad field that evidently only Frankfort played upon, while Trimble obviously played the same game on a better field.

Speaking of Fields, EJ RAN for over 80 yds on the botched play. He must really be blessed if he can not only walk, but RUN on water, all the way up the middle of the field. Our #2, Peters, is likewise blessed, as he RAN all the way up the field (on water again). Not as blessed, though, or he would have caught him.

I expected it to be wet... but not semi ponds on the field.

I agree with Deuce the field is a health hazard...

At least we do not have to knock on someones door to get the ball back after we kick a extra point. :ylsuper: And we do have some parking spots.

Pointless when you parking lot is full but they have nowhere to sit...

Please dont start cracking jokes on Fields conditions...

Sounds like you've got the excuse thing all wrapped up to me,and yes we have played at Carroll and Owen after rain and Trimbles field is by far the worst.

I apologized about my last post I'm too muture to respond to post like that...:thumb:

We will try hard to make it back. Going through a mad Danville may be hard. THe mistruths were started by Duece just setting everything straight. :sssh:
