I'm curious your take on this guru because you have long been a naysayer of this event as you believe it is a cash grab for the event organizers and the "middle men", whoever that maybe, and here we have proof that the schools, not In-game Sports management, sets the prices.

I think it's pretty cut and dry what theguru was saying there. Both Tom Gamble and the schools involved like getting the extra cash that they get for the Skyline Crosstown Showdown as a result of bumping up ticket prices to the folks coming out to see a regular old high school football game. When people complain about increased ticket prices at KHSAA mandated district games like Conner vs. Cooper, the schools blame the Showdown for the increase, and Tom Gamble points his finger at the schools for allegedly being allowed to set their own prices. Then the schools and Gamble both laugh all the way to the bank with the extra money out of Johnny and Jimmy football player's parents' pockets.
