Sorry about that...never could spell :p

I hold no grudges towards SoMerset, and think you all have a great team. I'm just pointing out that singling Williamsburg out is a mistake. "pot calling kettle black" type of thing, you know?

And just so you know, attacking people's grammar on a message board (LOL at that, BTW!), and then offering no counter arguement other than another cheap shot (not seeing you again)...just makes you look really bad. Worse, in fact, than you were trying to make me look by pointing that out. It's a message board....honestly...... I know you were trying to come off all bright, but it just makes it look like you have NOTHING to add but more cheap shots. And regardless of correctness, you and everyone else knows what I meant.

Back on topic, singling Williamsburg out was uncalled for and unjustified...and in poor taste. I dug myself down to that level and took the bait and retaliated...I apologize for that. But regardless of spelling, my points are valid. Let's move past this and focus on a few exciting weeks of football.

This one time I went to a game and they had cops there and I didn't like it! It made me feel bad. I cried.

This other time my team got some bad calls and it was all the home teams fault and I wanted to yell at the Zebras but those dang cops were there again. I cried.

This other time on a message board, someone said I had bad spelling and grammar. I cried.

In on honesty, all I see is a bunch of whining. I could point all several things from all schools in the area if I wanted too. We all know things happen and alot of it is because of our PERSPECTIVE. What looks like apples to us, could be lemons to someone else.

Good points and that would be a good way to end this thread.

Yep. I'm crying. I'm venting. No one ever treats y'all ,as a whole, how they're treated up there. Lord knows if they did, it would become a Supreme Court Case. Yep, You're right. Perception is a funny thing.

I find it hard to believe, in my apparent 6 year old mind, as you pointed out in your thread style, that not one single fan on the Burg side yelled about the officials or a call that was botched. (Yes, there were bad calls BOTH ways.) WOW! We know that had they yelled, they'd have had to deal with the authorities, from the way you put it in your thread, OR would they?????

I never expected to win this game for the most part, the way our season had went. We thought that the effort would be produced. We did, however, know exactlly what the enviroment was going to be when we got there. IT never changes. This really isn't about the game, but the crap that always comes with it up there. We had nothing to gain or lose in the game itself. Our season was over.

It must've been my imagination these last few years. Nothing has ever went on. It's all becoming clearer.

Thanks for clarifying all of my mental deficiencies, Noble. ALL the voices in my head have stopped except for that one that keeps saying "Love the Jackets..Love the Jackets....Nothing ever goes on up there like you thought....Mass Mirage....Love the Jackets....We'll all have ice cream together one day..Love The Jackets.... and exchange Christmas Cards every year...... "

I have this "one time" story.

One time I went to watch a ball game in Somerset and those boys hit hard. They hit real hard. They knocked one of our players out of the game (on a clean hit). We got real mad. Our school authorities got mad. Our Mayor got mad. They sent film to the powers that be to get the other team punished. The powers that be ruled that it was, indeed, a football game on that tape and people were getting hit hard while it was played. Me and my buddies have never forgiven the Jumpers for that. Sound familiar? That, my friend, was collective crying from your school. THAT was over the top crying.

You can say it did'nt go on. Denial seems to be a specialty these days. You can say what you want. Free country and all. You want to talk about perspective. You never face what the others face.I will go on the record as saying that if we want to blame it on past events, past games, (now friday is a past game) especially from parents or fans, that the LC side has much more to worry about from W'burg parents/fans than the other way around. Public record can show that the only documented attack came from the WHS home side of the field and involved a parent going after an opposing player. If we go by that, the police would be staying on the threatning side of the field. DOCUMENTED case, PERCEIVED threats. Which one has the history to back it up?

Enough said.

O.K. Once more s-l-o-w-l-y j-u-s-t- for- y-o-u- Kidd1. Never said anyting about the game's score.

Y'all won. You outplayed us, you play next week, we don't. We had a horrible year, you succeeded. Anything else we need to acknowledge about the game part of the night? Here is our official statement to your greatnes:

We bow down to you this year. You are GREAT! We are not worthy! We turn our heads so your overall superiority does not overwhelm us and make us want to abandon all hope! The football gods have forsaken us for ones more righteous and have passed on the fortunes to the ones truly intended for immortality! We are the cess in your mighty pool! We are but poor peasants moving through the football landscape asking for naught but the mercies of our Masters! We have put on sack cloths and ashes and are wailing in the streets. What is to become of us? Years of drought and overall pestilence surely are our lot now. 15 points has brought us to our knees. Our great-great grandsires will beseach the almighty on why their ancestors sought to try to dethrone the chosen ones in a game they are so much superior in. Our folly will not go unnoticed in the afterlife, either. We shall have to empty your chamberpots and attend to the 75 virgins you surely won with the outstanding display of athletic prowess. We shall throw our very spirits into the puddles into which you are about to step in the land that only the worthy will step in all their glory and golden cleats and hand woven golden uniforms. The very fabric of society here has been shaken We are flying flags at half mast. We are utterly and possibly totally embarassed.

Is that enough? Does that make you feel better, Kidd1? We now know our places in the higherarchy of high school football. (I would've added more, but it was 15 points and not 21.)

The "Enough Said" quote is exactly what I said was going on with the whole outside- the -game problems. It'll never change. It'll only get worse.

Not sure if you are a Preacher but it could be in your future............Hate this fan issue...the kids play hard on both sides and there has not been any kind of trouble durung the game from the players..I dont see that changing.

Daddy Cat does have a way with words...I agree the kids seem not to be the problem here...Can't everybody just get along LOL...Daddy Cat and Bubba Wilson get the creative writing awards :thumb:

Thank you for the award... I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this possible. :)

No, not a preacher. Most would say about as far removed as could be.

I never tried to drag the game or the players into this. It was all off the fields and on the grandstands. It was a well played game and both teams seemed emotional about it. The only game gripe I had was the officials and they seemed unproffesional, IMO. Never wanted to get anywhere near putting the kids in it. Most everyone involved was over 21, even over 30.

Where you at, Kidd1? Did I aknowledge the win well enough for you?

I too am very pleased to share this award with a man of Daddy Cat's prose abilities. I never made much good grades in school except for lunch and recess. Spellin and a writin were always hard for Ol' Bubba. My wife Sweetness bought me this here " Hooked on Phonics" tape and it changed my whole life. After a listenin to it I have written numerous musical hits. Maybe next year they will get the National Guard to patrol the sidelines in the re- match up at Lynn Camp. As for officals not in uniform, I think that is a KHSAA matter and that there tape should be sent to them for inspection. Maybe the traffic problems on I- 75 caused them to not be able to get their proper clothes for the game of sumthin.

Again, I have always found Daddy Cat to be a man of truth. He is for the Campers, but always calls it like he sees it. Now if you do like that then so be it. I respect and understand what you are a saying Daddy, let the good times roll brother.

If there is a lesson in this thread, let it be that each of us do whatever we can to encourage our schools, fans, players, announcers, down to the waterboys to be class acts. The game can be played with grit and determination, can be watched and cheered for, calls can even be disputed without classless, degrading behavior from anyone. The difference betwen a class act and no class folks is that class acts rise above the ground level and follow the golden rule even if they don't get treated well themselves. Following someone or some group down to their level only gets you dirty. Its hard, and sometimes not fair, but the alternative eventually leads to something terrible, like a fight, or some other worse violence. I've been plenty mad at some opposing stadiums, but on this forum I've made friends from some of them and now I know its the minority that cause the problems. "Evil wins when good men do nothing". I've been guilty of getting carried away, but I'm trying to do better. There are good folks everywhere.
