You are pretty darn fancy out there on the road. You must have one of them BlackBerry or PDA devices RamblinMan. Bubba can not figure out how to operate them there things. I will get you one of them cassette versions so you can listen while driving that 18 wheeler on your weekly run. Of course that would mean you could not listen to Alabama, Marshall Tucker, the Allmonds and of course the Patridge Family. I figure you should turn off that CB and take some notes from this Hooked on Phonics. It is the best thing since peanut butter for us self help folks.

If there is a lesson in this thread, let it be that each of us do whatever we can to encourage our schools, fans, players, announcers, down to the waterboys to be class acts. The game can be played with grit and determination, can be watched and cheered for, calls can even be disputed without classless, degrading behavior from anyone. The difference betwen a class act and no class folks is that class acts rise above the ground level and follow the golden rule even if they don't get treated well themselves. Following someone or some group down to their level only gets you dirty. Its hard, and sometimes not fair, but the alternative eventually leads to something terrible, like a fight, or some other worse violence. I've been plenty mad at some opposing stadiums, but on this forum I've made friends from some of them and now I know its the minority that cause the problems. "Evil wins when good men do nothing". I've been guilty of getting carried away, but I'm trying to do better. There are good folks everywhere.

Well I wish I had worded my responses like this....but no one ever accused me of being level headed! Honestly, all I was trying to say was mistreatment and bad behavior goes on everywhere, and no one wants to admit it...so collectively pointing fingers at one group only causes even more trouble.

Where you at, Kidd1? Did I aknowledge the win well enough for you?

Wasn't what I was going for, but since you did, yes you acknowledged the win well enough for me.

My point was that the game thread had spun-off into fan behavior/treatment and not about the game itself. Just trying to get it back to the game.

It is Ok WBJ...we all know what you was a tryin to say. Sometimes this here peer mediation stuff works...I was a trying to calm things down, but DragonPappy proved to be like "Dr.Phil" and saved the day. I agree that fans need to stay on their side of the field during the games. At Finley Legion it is hard to find a place around the fence for an innocent bystander sometimes. That is where I think AD's. Principals and school officals could be better used to scoot those trying to start stuff back to their side of things...them teachers can patrol the home side of things and take care of problems over there. Just an idea you might think about next season for them their home games.

This seems to be an issue that really has no solution. One only needs to look at history to see that some groups are simply not going to get along in peace and harmony. As long as none of the athletes or anyone else is in danger, then my advice is just ignore the ignorance and support your school. Let people say what they want to and wave all the flags they wish. These two teams and schools in general are very similar so thus arises the competitive spirit and the intense rivalry between them. Maybe you can relate it to..."Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me".

O.K. Once more s-l-o-w-l-y j-u-s-t- for- y-o-u- Kidd1. Never said anyting about the game's score.

Y'all won. You outplayed us, you play next week, we don't. We had a horrible year, you succeeded. Anything else we need to acknowledge about the game part of the night? Here is our official statement to your greatnes:

We bow down to you this year. You are GREAT! We are not worthy! We turn our heads so your overall superiority does not overwhelm us and make us want to abandon all hope! The football gods have forsaken us for ones more righteous and have passed on the fortunes to the ones truly intended for immortality! We are the cess in your mighty pool! We are but poor peasants moving through the football landscape asking for naught but the mercies of our Masters! We have put on sack cloths and ashes and are wailing in the streets. What is to become of us? Years of drought and overall pestilence surely are our lot now. 15 points has brought us to our knees. Our great-great grandsires will beseach the almighty on why their ancestors sought to try to dethrone the chosen ones in a game they are so much superior in. Our folly will not go unnoticed in the afterlife, either. We shall have to empty your chamberpots and attend to the 75 virgins you surely won with the outstanding display of athletic prowess. We shall throw our very spirits into the puddles into which you are about to step in the land that only the worthy will step in all their glory and golden cleats and hand woven golden uniforms. The very fabric of society here has been shaken We are flying flags at half mast. We are utterly and possibly totally embarassed.

Is that enough? Does that make you feel better, Kidd1? We now know our places in the higherarchy of high school football. (I would've added more, but it was 15 points and not 21.)

The "Enough Said" quote is exactly what I said was going on with the whole outside- the -game problems. It'll never change. It'll only get worse.

Daddy could have said something like 67- 8 but he is a bigger man than that. Or he could point out the Campers have owned the Jackets for three years or more on the hardwood...let it die KIDD. Besides you are using a acronym from a Coach who has left the Jacket fold.

My bad, actually that last comment wasn't mine. I left the room and someone else felt like they had to add their two cents worth. I have put this issue too bed.

Once again, sorry for the last comment.

O.K., Kidd. Which one do I believe now? Earlier, you said you were'nt after this, it was " you acknowledged the win, it's well enough for me". Now this? It's here in front of everybody. Page 1.

Which face do I believe? The one that is an apparently good hearted, out for the kids type of fellow that just wants to get along with everybody, or the one that just went against what he said just a couple of hours ago? Or did you really believe all that stuff I wrote about being sub-serviant to y'all? You did know that was sarcastic and that all you really get is a win and not the golden uniforms, not the 75 virgins and that you really won't have chamberpots after you die, don't you? Most of us will get up and go to work in the morning and forget anything like this even went on this weekend, you do realize that, too, don't you? Geez, buddy.............:sssh:

He said he was sorry for the last comment...what face do we believe from you.....do we get the 75 virgins or not...most of us will go to work but you seem not to want to forget it......someone needs to stop this thread...I will not comment on it again

How do we close it? Just responding to what's posted until it's gone....

Believe what you want in this world........

I got a question for you guys to kind of change the subject, why do those Yellowjackets wear orange? I find that kind of curious.

Here is another trivia question concerning them Jacket colors...why did they change to blue instead of the traditional black trim. Why even them there letterman jackets are still sporting the Black from days gone by. I heard it was a mistake in ordering Band Britches back in the 90's any truth to that there rumor. I know it does not sit too well with some of the older more prominent Jacket Alumni. Maybe Orange was to get away from Mboro and Blue was to get away from the Campers?

I for one hate the blue, and if you notice there is no blue in the football uniforms now. Black trim on the away jerseys would be nice and help with seeing the numbers.
