What does Fairview need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Any word on their current roster numbers?

Take this for what it is worth.

I caught them in the Grid last season and they seemed to be very plain on offense, with almost everything being run the QB,left, right and up the middle.

I am glad the numbers are rumored to be in the 30's.

I also hope that the team can get the numbers up and be competitive all season long.

I feel like every year there is talk of Fairview numbers. And every year they field a halfway decent team.

They will only return 15 or so players this year. In years past they had big Junior and Senior classes to help offset their lower underclassmen numbers. If I am not mistaken, they will only have 9 seniors, and a total of 5 sophomores and freshman. In years past, having a 30-40 man roster meant 15+ juniors and another 15+ seniors. Thats not the case this year and years to come. Hopefully the Eagles can weather the storm because they have some tallent in the youth league right now.

Fairview has 35 players on their 2018 roster posted in the KHSAA Riherd scoreboard. Twelve seniors and and ten juniors. Those numbers look good.

I believe I read where there will be a new offense this season?

If I'm not mistaken they are going back to the offense that Fred Ray ran at Fairview in his 1st 2 seasons when Alex Roy was QB .

Is Alex Roy's brother the Fairview QB this season? Fairview will compete with most of the teams on their schedule aside from the district games. Noah King is a good athlete and I look for them to get the ball to him as much as possible.

Yes , Alex Roy's brother Jack is the QB this year . He's a Sophomore, & has really grown a lot in size since last season.

And it's not like they have a huge freshman class coming in to replace the 15 seniors from last year. Like @STEEL_CURTAIN88 said above, they only had about 15 returning from last year's roster. It seems Brett Cooksey and his staff did a great job stirring up interest inside their own hallways and got a lot of kids out for football that maybe hadn't played in a recent years, if ever. It's great to see that turnout in Westwood.
