plantmanky
I agree, but there is such a thing called a Home Run. He would have to swing the bat for that to happen. Swinging is optional.
sumoroyal
Votto gets a hit with Winker on second but he does not even run hard to third to try to score. He has a horse on his back. Scooter gets him in with Sac. Fly. Reds up 2-1.
sumoroyal
Votto hits one high off the centerfield wall. He is trying.

CincySportsFan
I wonder, another bone head play in the field last night. If you're talking about the play where he wanted to go home with the throw, but Disco was in front of him, I'd hardly call that bonehead. He knows what the pitching staff has done this year, so any chance you can cut down a guy at the plate you almost always have to take it. It was just unfortunate that Disco was doing what he was supposed to do, too, and that was to cover first.

If he goes straight to the base, Disco is nowhere around. Don't blame Disco, his indecision on that play was the problem.
Coach112
Votto has 53 AB's with RISP and is batting .358.

Don't blame Disco, his indecision on that play was the problem. I thought he was going home and Disco was in front of him on his way to cover first base, is why he couldn't throw it home. He had the guy out at home. So he had to double pump and it was too late to throw home and then just a mess.
HammerTime
Votto has 53 AB's with RISP and is batting .358. Why let facts get in the way of a terrible opinion.

MJAlltheWay24
Why let facts get in the way of a terrible opinion. I said something similar last week. Might need to change my BGP motto to it lol
plantmanky
Why let facts get in the way of a terrible opinion. What sumo said was correct, Marty even brought it up early in the game today. Also said Votto hasnt had a homerun since May 18th in LA.
plantmanky
Todays is the perfect example of why they should start with a runner on second after 11 innings.

Just Hangin Around
Votto has gone 77 At Bats without an RBI. That's like 18 to 20 games. Last 30 days 1 HR and 5 RBIs, .340 avg. Gennett last 30 days 9 HRs and 28 RBIs, .414 avg.
