June 5, 20188 yr He didn’t pick the guys he is currently playing with. So you are saying that in 4 years in this stint in Cleveland Lebron has had nothing to do with the roster on the team?
June 5, 20188 yr Author So you are saying that in 4 years in this stint in Cleveland Lebron has had nothing to do with the roster on the team? This is barely the same team that was in the finals last year. So no for this specific team I don’t think Lebron had a huge say in how it’s currently constructed. Even the off-season trade I don’t think was Lebrons bidding. The Cavs were put in a tough spot by Kyrie and had to make a move. The only offseason acquisition that I can say definitively was Lebrons decision was Wade.
June 5, 20188 yr New game, same story. Lebron plays the game he wants to play, sets his teammates up for success the entire game and they let him down time and time again. What more do you all want from this guy? I think I saw where they were 3 for 17 on threes that LeBron directly passed to them. That's bad.

June 5, 20188 yr Author Didn't he want to bring in Kevin Love? And then JR Smith & Tristan Thompson have the same agent as Lebron? I’m sure he was consulted on the trade of Wiggins for Love. TT was already there before Lebron came back to Cleveland and while Lebron and JR are close, he’s never been more than just a role player off the bench.

They are there because he advocated for them being there. Both of those players tie up a little less than Draymond and Klay do for Golden State.
June 5, 20188 yr while Lebron and JR are close, he’s never been more than just a role player off the bench. He sure played a big role in Game 1 lol. Is there a hot take out there somewhere that LeBron should have known they had one timeout left and called it?
June 5, 20188 yr Author LeBron publicly lobbied for Tristan and JR to get big contracts. They are there because he advocated for them being there. Both of those players tie up a little less than Draymond and Klay do for Golden State. What was he supposed to do?
June 5, 20188 yr Author He sure played a big role in Game 1 lol. Is there a hot take out there somewhere that LeBron should have known they had one timeout left and called it? Someone should have called timeout. I’m fine assigning the blame for that on Lue, Lebron, or JR.
June 5, 20188 yr What was he supposed to do? Not saber rattle and force the organization to tie up money in players of that caliber. On balance, I think some of that is because he likes to stick it to Dan Gilbert at any opportunity he can, which I do not have a problem with after how he treated LeBron. But, there is a cost to it.

What more do you all want from this guy? You keep bringing it up and I will keep saying it. I think we have consistently seen that standing around and waiting for a pass without touching the ball much. Doesn't help get guys in a rhythm at all, to hit a shot even if open. I think the majority of ball players feel more in a rhythm when they consistently touch the ball, even if it just to pass it out. I think most feel more in the rhythm of a game when their offense has them moving around. Lebron's offenses don't have much player movement, and not much ball movement. So yes Lebron does get open shots for guys, there is no denying that. However I think this league has shown. The best way to get role players to step up and play better is in offenses with more movement and ball movement. That gets them more in a consistent rhythm than what James offenses do. James is the best in the World and possibly the best of all time. However that doesn't mean his style of play is good at getting his teammates to play to their best of the abilities. ESPN just posted an article yesterday showing how more players do get worst when playing with James, and not better.

But Lebron has shown time and time again that he wants to be a facilitator. You have to possess the ability and drive to move without the ball to play with Lebron. How many wide open threes did James set up his teammates with in games 1 and 2 that they missed? It seemed like a hundred. Relative to other great teams in the league, this team is a bunch of scrubs. It’s Lebron, Kevin Love and a bunch of dudes that you can literally swap with any other roster in the league and be in the exact same spot.
June 5, 20188 yr Author Try for guys that are actually good. Like who? Between him, Kyrie, and Love they didn’t have money for anyone else.
June 5, 20188 yr Like who? Between him, Kyrie, and Love they didn’t have money for anyone else. Then maybe don't try to secretly trade on of the 15 best players in the league and then he wanted out after he finds out. :idunno:
