Jake Swolzky to Mason County

I thought Garrison transferred during his senior year and was eligible to play soon after the start of the 2018 calendar year. Not 100% sure, though.

Garrison did transfer right around Christmas. He played his last game for Mason Co. in mid January 2017, therefore he was eligible mid January 2018 to play elsewhere. It depends on his last playing date, not when he enrolled.

Going from private to public, could be kid from St. Pat is claiming financial hardship and should get eligible immediately.

Also, he could want to enroll in their STEAM Academy offerings. Something St. Pat's does not have.

Swolsky will be elegible. St Patrick will be fine in 2-3 years with their middle school so long as they keep their integrity.

Mason gained a solid student and kid. He should help quite a bit with their soccer, basketball and baseball programs.

I know transfers get a bad rap on this site, and there’s good reason occasionally.

I don’t know Jake, or the whole story, but given the outlook the next 2 years at St Pat, and the opportunities MC can afford him educationally, you can’t look down your nose at this one, IMO.

Such a shame that St. Pat was so close to making regionals and now they face a tough road ahead. Hopefully Jake finds success at Mason County.

Heard Chandler Black was transferring to Mason County from St Pat.

I thought he was going to Augusta? Is anybody left at St. Patrick?
