In 2016, they were one the weakest side of the bracket. Ten teams in that field could have beaten CC. Same way with Scott. Benefited from playing easier matchups.

Scott beat 2 D1 pitchers to get to the Semis. Knox County and South Warren was not an easy draw. And Campbell almost snuck away with the title in 2016. Those were two pretty solid teams.

Campbell County avoided Greenup, McCracken, West Jessamine and lost to St.X's #3 pitcher. As far as Scott goes, which D1 pitchers did they face? I seen where they faced one that's at Kentucky Wesleyan and one plays at Wabash Valley. Might want to get facts straight before trying to prove someone wrong.

I might be wrong about Cornett from Knott County. But he was highly regarded, and I thought he had some higher level offers. But Shyrock from South Warren originally committed to UK, and had an offer from Western that I think he ended up taking. Also a two time all state pitcher. Granted, he’s obviously not at a D1 school now, but he was talented enough to get D1 offers.

One good team in a region does not make the region good, and both Campbell and Scott benefited from great draws.

Never said they weren't good teams, they definitely were, but just because a team lost in the finals or semifinals does not automatically make them the 2nd, 3rd or 4th best team in the state.

Of course not. I never said either team was one of the top 2,3, or 4 teams in the state. I even explicitly said that in my last post. My only point was that maybe those years the region wasn’t so bad because a couple teams made deep runs.

Camels did lose to St. X, 1-0. I’ll take your word that their pitcher was their number 3. However, St. X only mustarded up 1 run on the Camels number 2, and that was a homerun....... So are you saying that St. X wouldn’t have deserved to be in the championship game if they, and the Camels had switched places in the brackets? Just because the Camels may have had an easier path to the finals, doesn’t mean they didn’t deserve to be there. The 2016 Camels team was a very talented group.

Supposed to be a high of 91 Monday. Any word on if they’ll change sites and times?

For example like the 9th Region was thinking about doing, they’ll have two game at around 7-8PM at different sites
