Spencer Crutchfield was named Head Coach today.

Is this the Spencer Crutchfield who was QB at Garrard County in the early-ish 2000s?

Yes, that is the same Spencer Crutchfield!

Very happy for him. Very bright football mind. He will do great there.

Thanks, @Lou21! Any idea what his coaching background is?

Not 100% sure. I know he has been an assistant coach at Garrard County and Madison Central. Not sure after that.

Most recent assistant coach for Madison Central this past year.

Congrats Spencer a great dude good luck

Spencer Crutchfield becomes the 11th head coach at Lincoln County High School. He is a 2005 graduate of Garrard County High School. He was most recently and assistant coach at Madison Central. He played for Steve Stonebreaker and has coached with Mark Scenters. Both highly recommended Crutchfield, apparently. This will be his first head coaching position.

He will lead the Patriots into the school's 45th football season. Below is a history of LCHS coaches:

Any news coming out of Lincoln?

Well...I saw today that they're investigating some decomposed human remains that were found off of Highway 328.

Are you hearing anything else?

Congrats and good luck.

I saw that their OL coach left and went to Pulaski. I want to know how the staff is shaping up.

First year head coach with some question marks, who has taken a job very late in the year. I'm wanting to know how it's going.

All is well. 100 boys have shown up for football, including 6 impact players with legitimate transfers from surrounding schools. Nick Saban has been retained to consult the new coach. Negotiations are underway to buy-out non-district games in order to add games with Trinity, Covington Catholic, etc.

Expectations are high. We expect to win a championship in two, maybe three classes. The only thing that could beat us would be a Hurricane named Ditka!

Wow. That's the quickest turnaround in KY high school football history. Good for them!
