Open Job: Harrison County

Harrison needs to bring Graham back if possible. IMO, he's probably the best candidate at this juncture. From what I understand, he's very interested.

Good luck to Coach Furnish in TN. Rumor mill is Coach Van Isaac (former HC QB and 4 year player at Georgetown College) or former HC Coach Ray Graham for the job. I'm hoping someone can stay the course and invest 10+ years in the program.

Looks like Harrison already has their guy!

10+ years is asking a lot. When almost every job in the state has had multiple guys in a decade, that's probably not going to happen. I looked into it last year, maybe the year before that. And there were only 4 or 5 schools with the same HC for a decade.

There is an argument to be made that, in many cases, having a coach that long might not be a great thing.

Van Isaac is a good dude. If he doesn't take the Harrison County job, then I'd want him on our staff. Tiger Pride.

IMO, he isn't ready to be a head coach. He needs some seasoning, structure and experience

Ray Graham did a great job at Harrison the first time around. He did not do so well in his last two jobs. He may just be past his prime to take on a big job like this one.

More than likely the coach has already been decided. Admin just needs to go through the motions but already has their guy in all liklehood.

The job has been posted on HC’s employment page. It’ll be posted for 15 days. From what I’ve been told interviews will be set up soon.

Job has been posted for 16 days. I'm assuming nothing will happen this weekend or on Memorial Day, so we're looking at May 29th at the earliest. That's 20 days the job will be posted. It's going to be difficult for someone to come in and take over in June. Harrison needs to move soon. I've heard they have some good candidates. Just pull the trigger.

Look for a decision on this one to be made very soon.

It’s my understanding that they conducted 3 interviews yesterday.

Ray Graham has been hired, per the WCYN Facebook page.

Harrison County High School is pleased to announce Ray Graham as the new head football coach.

Principal Steven Fowler said Graham’s history and connection to the community were instrumental in his return to the Hilltop.

“His knowledge of our community, his dedication to our children, his passion for football and his past record of success all played a role,” Fowler said.
