CCH's Krumpelbeck and 1,000 wins

Shouldn’t be made up. These two against Ryle mean nothing, and are detrimental to at least one of the teams from a preparation perspective.

Cov Cath is good enough to get to 1,000 without the padding.

Not making a prediction, but they do have the talent.

With no Ryle games, CCH has to win district and get to the regional title game to get 1,000. If they lose the district title game, CCH has to win the regional to get win 1,000. Yes, CCH is good enough to do it but that is a tall order with baseball being as unpredictable as it is.

He is their #1 starter isn't he? So who pitches in the district title game?

I would expect Casteel, Hehman, or Stallman. But who really knows?

Now at 998 after tonight's win over Beechwood.

One of the most "Coach Krumps" things I've ever seen quoted in the media from Coach Krumps:

"It’s just a distraction. I’m sick of hearing the number. It’s a total distraction. Anybody can coach. I have 10 assistants here who can coach. It’s just a matter of me being old. All I care about is winning the region. That’s all we’ve talked about all year is winning the region and getting to state.

Arlinghaus- Conner

Roesel- Ryle

Bieger- St Henry, Cooper

Collins- Ludlow, Cooper

Probably missed someone, plenty more who were not varsity coaches

Meier - Villa

Win 999 is in the books with the Colonels' win 4-2 win over Ryle in the first round 9th region tournament. 9th region semis are tomorrow against the winner of the St. Henry/New Cath game.

From James Weber:

And there it is. St. Henry retired in order. 12-0 CovCath final in five innings. Bill Krumpelbeck becomes the fourth member of Kentucky's 1,000-win club!
