Another Friday night football game. Another forecast for rain. It seems to be a recurring theme.

Both teams should be well prepared for a wet field since it seems like it rains every Thursday and Friday this football season.

How is Lincoln's field holding up this time of year?

Lincoln is in the top 10 4a AP polls, when is the last time that happened?

Never. This is only the second season for Lincoln County in 4A and they were unranked all of last season.

However, Lincoln County was ranked #1 in AAA by the Associated Press a few times through the years, the first time was in 1981 and was in the top three in 1979.

MC will have big time trouble stopping run. MC is big play team that can strike from anywhere. Should be down to the wire Lincon 35-28

It looks as if it is going to be raining all day in central KY and is gonna be a wet field tonight.

Ricky Rhodes is going to have a huge game for the Indians. He gets at least three TD's tonight, whether it be rushing, recieving, through special teams, or on defense. He has come up big in all of MC's big games this year and shows why he is one of the best players in the region.

The weather is going to slow these teams down a little bit, but I am going with Madison Central in a 31-27 game.

What are the seeding implications of this game/this district?

What are the seeding implications of this game/this district?

-With a win, Lincoln County is the #1 seed.

-With a loss, Lincoln County is the #2 seed.

-With a win, Madison Central is the #1 seed.

-With a loss and with GRC beating South Laurel, Madison Central will be in three way tie for secnd with GRC and Montgomery County. I have not done the math on the tie-breaker (anybody?)

-With a loss and with GRC losing to South Laurel, Madison Central would be in a two way tie with Montgomery County and will lose the head-to-head tiebreaker by virture of Montgomery County's regular season win over Madison Central. Then, the seedings will be 1-Lincoln, 2-Montgomery, 3-Madison Central, 4-George Rogers Clark.

Who has the answer to the three way tie in the event that Madison Central loses and GRC wins?

It will depend on whether Montgomery beats Rowan, and whether Dunbar can win and also West Jessimine can win. Right now I believe Madison just has 1 point in out of district games. A win at Rowan should give Montgomery 2 points. It all depends on who wins.

The Indians need to just take care of business tonight.

If a three-way tie breaker were to take affect, they could possiblty have to turn around and play @ Lincoln again next week. MC needs to pull for Dunbar against Bryan Station, and West Jessamine against Western Hills, both winnable games. Montgomery gets 2 points with a win tonight so the likelyhood of a Montgomery/Madison Central tie on points could happen as well. I am not sure what happens when a 3-way tie breaker is tied but for some reason I don't think head to head matters in that.

Just win LC, take care of business!! Best of luck to the Patriots!

Either way, though, we know this:

Lincoln County, Madison Central, GRC and Montgomery County are the playoff qualifiers.

North Laurel, South Laurel and Whitley County have been eliminated.

The winner of tonight's game between Lincoln County and Madison Central will be the #1 seed.

Even with a loss, Lincoln County will not finish worse than #2 seed.

The way I see it is that Lincoln and Montgomery making the biggest jumps this year which is good for both programs. I think Montgomery is where Lincoln was last year, having a good year and getting better each week they play.

Sitting about 2 miles from Death Valley right now and it is raining Cats and Dogs (and Bears), ....... Rain,Wind, etc. will play a factor tonight for sure. But it's Senior Night at the Valley............A little Rain won't put out their fire for a Victory !!!!!!!!!

GO LINCOLN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
