Wright State 74 Cleveland State 57

The dream turns into a nightmare for the Vikings(12-23, 6-12 Conf) as they are dominated in the Horizon conference finals by sound Wright State team (25-9, 14-4 Conf). I am glad that the Raiders won, only because it is a crime for a team, with 24 or more wins not getting into the Big Dance.

The Raiders started slow but settled into the game to lead by 12 at the half.

Leading the Raiders with 11 apiece was,Cole Gentry(Elgin, IL) a Sophomore from (Elgin, IL) and

Freshman Jaylon Hall(Houston, TX) Hall got his points by coming off of the bench and playing 26 minutes. As a team the Raiders connected on 43.1% of their shots from the field, including an ice cold 34.6% from the three point line. The Raiders won the battle of the boards 40-30.

For the Vikings,Kenny Carpenter(Detroit, Mich) led the way with 18 points, while teammate Tyree Appleby(Jacksonville, AR) had 15. The Vikings were Antarctic cold, hitting just 39.6% of their shots.

Maybe the best team in the Horizon will be representing the conference in the big dance ?

You could make that argument.

They are pretty much even with NKU and a very solid team. Don't particularly like them but it's good for the conference. Hope they make a good showing against a 2 or 3 seed and lose by 1.:lol2:

I wouldn't call that ice cold.

I wouldn't call that ice cold.
Not at all. Only 19 teams have shot above 40% on the season. I would say 34% would be about average.

Agree. 33% from 3's is equivalent to 50% from 2's.

I'm a big NKU fan but WSU deserves to represent the Horizon League in the tourney. They beat NKU twice.
