Lewis County 68 Russell 64 (63rd District Tournament)

Congratulations to Lewis County

Nice win for the Lions

Disappointed, but not really surprised. The 63rd district has been very competitive this season. Lewis County was the 4 seed, despite leading the district with 18 wins.

Tay Offut had a monster game with 35 points and 15 boards. Tonight was the best I've ever seen him shoot the ball. He connected on three 3's tonight after only making two the entire regular season. Also, shot really well from the free throw line, despite being a 32% shooter on the year. He really showed up big tonight.

Bobby Hale finished up his career at Russell with 27 points.

Before I forget, it was great to see Ryan Stump get a bucket in his last game as a Red Devil after missing all of football season and 99% of basketball season with his knee injury. Best of luck to Ryan on the football field and in the classroom at Georgetown.

Congrats to Coach Hampton and the Lions

Coach Hampton's Lions are always a tough out come tournament time.

My thought as well. I went back and looked, Lewis has won their first round game seven of the last ten years.
