Thanks Southeast, I've been checking the daily news website, but seems like they're back to updating once a week....if that.

Breathitt got destroyed on the option in this game. They couldn't account for the pitchman and by the time Hoskins got him the ball, it was 8-10 yards before first contact. Silly penalties and some untimely playcalling stalled drives for Breathitt in the second half. They moved the ball easily against Middleboro, but went away from plays that worked.

 

Nevertheless, it was a great game to watch!! That is a great place to watch a football game, the atmosphere was like a college game.

I don't understand how everyone is already writing M-boro in the regional championship. They haven't made it yet. They will most likely have to play Breathitt again, and I'm not so sure that the outcome will be the same. Just don't count your chickens before they hatch.

 

If they play Breathitt again, then I'll bet the farm they make it the regional championship game.

Then you would lose the farm.

Breathitt is a young team.

I was told by a reliable source that their middle school was loaded with talent this year.

And they have most of this team back next year!

Believe it or not but our defense is much better than what we showed last night.

 

Because Middlesboro squib kicked the football Breathitt County only had to drive half the length of the football field for most of the game.

 

After half‧time we made some adjustments and held Breathitt County to only 7 points and I'd guess under 150 yards of total offense.

Nevertheless, Middlesboro gave up nearly eight yards per rush and a little over eight per snap. Sounds like the defense needs some work.

True, this isn't the '98 team......Roark doesn't have quite the athletes to play goal line defense all game. Just wish he'd figure that out.

I agree with you, everyone is already putting Middlesboro up aginst belfry or Sheldon Clark, but people should also know that Breathitt has to play them agian, and some people doesnt know that Breathitt was up 14 points within the first 5 minutes. Its a good win for the Jackets dont get me wrong but like you said Depend On Me people should count their chickens before they hatch.

I didn't know they had changed the playoff format so that the same districts played each other in rounds 1 and 2...I thought it was like it used to be. So, I was assuming if Breathitt and Middlesboro played again it would have to be in the regional championship...:thumb: :lol:

I want to see these 2 teams play again. It was a great game friday night. I like the road that Breathitt will have to take. They most likely will have to go through Leslie again, then middlesboro, if they survive that they are looking at Belfry or Sheldon Clark, win that game play Russell, win that one play Mercer or Louisville Western what a road that is

This is not true. If Leslie wins, it will be a 3 way tie and Breathitt will be the 1, Middleboro will be the 2, Leslie will be the 3, and Cawood the 4. Breathitt beats Middleboro on tiebreaker points, and the 'Boro beats Leslie on points.
