January 19, 20188 yr I think this would be a good change overall. I don't think as many kids would transfer as many others think. No doubt more will transfer than now though. The devil would be in the details though and there will be unintended consequences. Coaches will just have to adjust...and some will better than others. In football, I think it will actually help the smaller schools as I would see very good players sitting on the bench at big time schools leaving to have a chance to go play at a different (and maybe smaller) school. I am not sure what would happen in hoops. I see more movement both ways in hoops I guess..
January 19, 20188 yr I say no because coaches get paid and that makes it their job/livelihood. Players don't get paid so they shouldn't have the same freedom as coaches. Just my opinion. This is the worst take in the history of takes. Like. Wow...

You believe the players should have less rights because the NCAA refuses to compensate them while cashing checks off their performance in the billions. You don't grasp why that is completely absurd? Here's what's really going on. The NCAA is dealing with multiple lawsuits from athletes over having to sit a year due to transfer. It has the potential to cost them a lot of money. As a result, new transfer rules are in the works to eliminate the problem and protect their tax exempt status. When in doubt, follow the cash cow. That's ultimately the players, not the millionaire coaches by the way...
