I tuned into a minute of last night's action vs Winton Woods. During the small sample size I only heard the play by play man.

Paul Fritschner did a very good job last night flying solo on play-by-play. He noted that color commentator Dan Shields would be live for the first time at the Cooper game Friday.

 

I'm looking forward to the interplay between the two. A color man would have added a nice touch last night.

These guys will do a great job!

Have had a chance to catch a few of their games here and there, but what do we think of the new crew? Saw someone talking about it which reminded me to dig this thread back up.

I dig how the Mixlr app can run as a "background app" - so you can listen to the broadcast while you're actively using another app on your phone.

 

I'm not sure if it's just on my end or not, but the broadcast always cuts out at the very end of the game mid sentence in what seems like it's probably Fritschner's last sentence each time.

 

The broadcast crew is good though. Fritschner seems like he knows what he's doing, for sure. I like Shields' commentary a good bit. As I said above - I like having a current student in on the broadcast. Every once in a while Drew will say something or get a little deep into waxing philosophic about the team/a player/etc and it makes me chuckle to myself a little, but then I remember that he's still just a student at the school...he does a heck of a job for a 12th grader.

 

I like the broadcast for sure.
