I looked up the tournament dates and the tournament is listed as 3/14/17 through 3/17/17. But my brother says this year they have decided to have the semis and championship game on Saturday. Is that correct and why the change?

I don’t know if he’s correct or where he heard about it but I just spoke with him a few minutes ago and he’s order a hotel room for one day shorter than the last few years.

Years ago, didn't they have the semis in the morning and the finals that night?

FWIW On that calendar page that @OlDog75 posted, over to the right side of it there's also a calendar where you can toggle to March of 2018 where they have the dates being Weds-Sun, March 14-18.

 

Also on the one that he posted on Sunday the 18th you can begin to read the words "Whitaker Bank".

Absolutely... with the various conflicting info on the KHSAA site, I can't even say that I can confidently trust their calendar. When searching around the site they also have a pdf file that appears to be outdated with different dates. I have a hunch though that they're still going with the Sunday final like they have the last few years.

I talked to my brother this morning and he said when he received his ticket order form in the mail that it had the dates of March 14-17 on the form. The 17th is on a Saturday. I tried to call the khsaa office a while ago to get the official word on the exact dates but they’re out for Christmas until Tuesday.

Lol. The only thing it affects is whether one gets a room for 3 nights or 4 nights.

I heard it was going to be pushed up earlier In March because of the ncaa tournament. They don't want it the same weekend
