Apparently it’s the worst kept secret in NKy as to why he was fired. I don’t know personally because I have no ties to the program but plenty of people say it’s “not appropriate” so it’s not like it’s classified government intel.

Seriously guys, please consider coach Sturm for your coach. He’s a Highlands grad. He played football at Highlands, and according to him, he knows more about soccer than any of other coaches in NKY

This is just my opinion but you shouldn't be fired because of some ones personal life if that's what happened. If he was teaching the girls, they are having a good experience and they are winning which we all know they were then it was wrong to get rid of him again in my opinion.

Keep us updated regarding an announcement. IMO Highlands is the favorite in the 9th this fall, assuming they don't lose more players to the DA or injury.

I don’t know about favorite but they might return the most talent. They lose two starters from last years team. Those two were great players in Kylie Stava and Sophie Steppe but returning 9 starters should put them near the top of the Region. As long as no players are lost to the DA, those 9 should be back along with great production off the bench. Now we just hope that the new coach can carry on the success and get that 9th Region Championship.

Exactly. Highlands returns a ton and most of their scoring. NDA loses quite a bit of their top end talent. They will both be good. NDA will surely have more depth than anyone in NKY, which I'm basing on the ridiculous numbers they have at tryouts every year and the success of their younger teams last year.

 

The games will be close, and I'm assuming Highlands will be able to get a good coach. IMO Highlands top 2-3 players are a bit better and that will be the difference. I could be wrong.

I agree with you, NDA might be a little deeper. I believe Ryle will be in the mix as well as St Henry. Dixie will be in the fight to. Highlands should return All-State player in Wiefering, All-State Honorable Mention in Meyer (should have been 1st/2nd team), Louisville commit Lauren Deckert, Parker Price (one of the top defenders in NKY), H Gish and Heinegardner in goal. They have dynamic outside mids with Tatum Price, María Broering and Noble. Several other girls gave great minutes off the bench as well last year and should be battling for starting spots.

The new coach couldn’t ask for a more talented team. I am sure he/she will have them ready.
