December 14, 20178 yr I hate these type calls. Dan Issel was fouled out of the NCAA regionals in 1970 by a little guard who was running across the floor toward Big Dan while Dan was catching a pass close to half court similar to how a receiver would catch one over his shoulder in football. The guard ran under him and both went down. Should have been a blocking foul on the guard but they called Dan’s 5th foul which contributed to UK losing in overtime to Jacksonville. I’m still mad about that bogus call and it’s been 48 years since it happened, lol. Hey, Prof, what about the call against WKU (was it Greg Smith?) on the jump ball in NCAA tournament when the Western player was jumping against Cazzie Russell of Michigan? Occurred in mid-60s, I believe.

December 15, 20178 yr The screener’s stance is too wide. Screener’s feet cannot be wider than width of shoulders. Point of emphasis this year. Therefore, illegal screen. Play on, fellas.

December 17, 20178 yr Author Big Ten came out and said the play was called incorrectly. Do you have a link to an article talking about that? Thanks.
December 17, 20178 yr Do you have a link to an article talking about that? Thanks. Stansbury was quoted as saying he got a call from the Big 10 saying the call was wrong and the official was suspended. Not sure if that' true. The official worked he Rutgers game yesterday.
December 18, 20178 yr Do you have a link to an article talking about that? Thanks. As ColonelPops said, It was a quote from Stansbury. I should have put that in the previous post. I saw it on a WKU media tweet. I'll try to find the link. He basically said the Big Ten contacted him and told him the play was called incorrectly and that he responded with something like "What does that do for me now."
