camelman Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Ok. Who else is making the short trip Sunday to Athens, Ohio to see former Scott High star Jake Ohmer and his Western Kentucky teammates go up against the Ohio Bobcats?
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 DO NOT SPEED on the way there or back. Hwy 32 is a police trap!
00Rocket28 Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Ok. Who else is making the short trip Sunday to Athens, Ohio to see former Scott High star Jake Ohmer and his Western Kentucky teammates go up against the Ohio Bobcats? He was a pretty good baseball player too wasn’t he or am I thinking of someone else?
NEERFAN Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 That's probably a longer trip than heading to BG for a home game. Stop by Jackie O's for a crisp beverage.

Do you have any stats or info on Jake and the Hollingsworth kid from Dunbar? I heard both were doing well. Would like to keep up with both of them.

rjs4470 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 He was a pretty good baseball player too wasn’t he or am I thinking of someone else? He was a D1 level baseball player. I always though baseball would be his best sport. Clearly, I was wrong.
CyrusJS Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Anyone from NKY know how on earth Jake Ohmer was unable to get any D1 offers other than WKU? Not even NKU? I'm so glad Stansbury found this kid and gave him a chance. He has been lighting it up as a freshman against the 9th toughest schedule in the country.

I believe NKU had one scholarship open but it was filled by commitment before Ohmer went off in prime time.
Muskie Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 I believe NKU had one scholarship open but it was filled by commitment before Ohmer went off in prime time. That's right. They signed the 7 footer.
