The Royals' bench play was very good last night, yes I know it was St. Pat, but if they can get good production from the bench that helps them a lot. If the Royals can knock down the outside shot, which will be their weakness this season, then they'll be able to come back to Maysville 2-0 after week 1.

Think Mason County will win this one, though have to admit hate the transfer of Kumler. They will miss his outside shot early in the season till next man up comes to the fore front. Thought after this season he would have been the man for them.

I say SK wins at home by 8. I believe Kelch has gotten much better. He will have a solid game. I would look for Steiner to try to use Niece as much as possible. I know he has high hopes for Niece. Simon has some strong/physical guards that will get after you defensively. They also have some kids that can shoot it in from the perimeter. I think SK is going to be better than most think this year.

For Mason County I believe they will be lead by L Dunaway. He may not shoot a great percentage, but he will end up with about 20pts and game because he will get a lot of shots up. He is quick, gambles on defense which will transition into some easy baskets. I got to see Perkins play some over the summer, he still needs to get stronger.

Should be a good early season game for both teams to see where they are at.
