Lyft vs. Uber

Featured Replies

I just looked it up and an Uber from CVG to my house would be $124 one way. No thanks, I can drive for that.

You must either live very far away - like over an hour - or you did something wrong. I just checked fares and an Uber from Cincinnati to Pazzo's in Lexington costs $99.46.

I've heard that some airports don't allow Ubers, at least for picking up from the airport. Wonder if that has changed or if CVG has just always allowed it.

CVG allows Ubers to pick up & drop off now. Previously, Ubers were allowed to drop off at the airport but weren't allowed to pick up from the airport. I think that has been resolved for a year or two.

I guess it really depends on where you live. Everywhere i take an uber to is ~$10 to $15 whether I am going to downtown or to the airport. I love where I live.

Just curious as to how that was policed? How would they know you’re Uber unless you had a sign which so many still don’t have?

Not for me. Fastpark works just fine for me. Cheaper than a round trip even if I stay over a week. Plus I get those frequent parking points for when I go on vacation.

Yeah and I am sure 90% of your travel is business travel and goes on the expense report. I want that perk so bad but unfortunately my line of work doesn't require a lot of travel.

$32.00 from Alexandria, KY. ??? Where do you live?

Fast park is about $8.00 bucks a day.

About 35 minutes from the Airport.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, says its $124 to CVG or $198 to LEX Airport (which is further away than CVG for me time wise)

I live about 12 miles from the airport and it costs anywhere from $20-$25...which is about as much as a cab was. I fly to Chicago often, and take an Uber to my office about 20 miles away, and it's never more than $35 regardless of time of day. I think cost is relative to the number of drivers.....In @plantmanky case I'm guessing there aren't a ton of Uber drivers hanging around Grant county on a regular basis, and I'm not surprised it's a little pricey since someone would have to drive likely from around the airport just to pick him up.

I put in CVG to Grant County and it's like $40.

Very good point, its not like there are many folks getting a local Uber to the Waffle House and Walmart daily.

I just checked Lyft and its $38 from Dry Ridge to CVG. So maybe it isn't all that pricey.

I took an Uber from Bellevue to the Dry Ridge exit about a month ago and it was $45.

I'm 16.5 miles according to Alexa.

I'll trade you! Travel for work sounds sexy, but it gets old in a hurry! plus I get 5 weeks vacation and 19 off days other than weekends. I go on lot's of non reimbursable trips!!

That's living right!
