Nice to see the Hurricanes with some relevance again. Like them or not, college football is more fun when they are.

Going to be a good one next week.

It’s going to be better than I thought previously. Miami looked really good defensively tonight. Rozier will have to play really good and cut down on the interceptions. Either way, Miami will be rocking next weekend. This is their biggest game in a long time.

Without a doubt college football is more fun when Miami is good. They are the most important program in the state of Florida in my opinion.

A Miami/Notre Dame game that matters is all sorts of awesome. Saturday can't get here soon enough.

I agree. I’m really looking forward to watching it.

I am curious as to why you think this is so?

Because people love to hate Miami. They are without a doubt the most hated program in the history of college football. It's always good to have a team everyone loves to hate.

I don't think that makes them any more important.

I think you will see Miami less "hated" under the direction of Mark Richt. It is hard to hate anything about that man.

Yes it does make them more important in my mind.

Nah, I don't see it. This isn't nearly at the same level. The hype for this game isn't anything like it was back in '88. Miami just doesn't have the same reputation. This one is more like Catholics vs. some shady dudes. And to be fair if I'm being honest, Notre Dame isn't the same as they were under Holtz.

It should be a great game, but it doesn't mean as much. That game was basically for the national championship. They finished 1-2 in the final poll. Regardless of the outcome that won't happen this year.

Its no where near the same level. But this is the first ND/Miami game that has meant anything in over 20 years. Its a big deal to the people in Miami and the people in South Bend even if it doesn't seem that way around the rest of the country.

I'm a pretty big Notre Dame fan. I can only speak for myself, but this just isn't the same. It's a big game for the Irish that they have to win to stay in contention for the playoffs, but personally the fact that it is Miami is really not that significant. The rivalry isn't even close to what it once was.
