Knox Central / Clay County predictions

I don't think Clay has been padding Lewis' stats. They just had a really bad pre-district schedule. It isn't like he's been in there throwing touchdown passes in the 4th quarter of a big blowout if you look at the boxscores. Now a lot of those stats were put up early in some of those blowouts and Clay has played for the most part a lackluster schedule but if you're doing it to decide a game it isn't padding. Padding is when you do it when the game is already decided. I would imagine if Clay on has what, something like 5 seniors, its kind of hard to go too far down the depth chart real quick.

I'm going with Central....Clay has played a VERY EASY schedule so far, but not knocking the talent becaue the Tigers are loaded with that.

So, what are you knocking? The coach?

Not knocking noone, can't someone pick against the Tigers? Coach ahs done a good job, too...

Id love to see Coach Mills and his boys pull off the upset, but Id say it will be Clay County 28-21

Clay County has plenty of players, heck they brought 27 to the freshmen game 3 weeks ago.

Yeah, I was just saying that a lot of their younger kids are already playing and if Lewis is a sophomore how many quarterbacks do they have behind him, there's only the freshman class and against Wayne, Letcher Central and Rockcastle they either lost (Rock) or the game was too close to take him out. I just feel like it is more the level of competition and the fact that he is a really good quarterback with some effective receivers that has his stats where they are.

If it were me coaching, I would have someone getting ready to play QB regardless what class he was in just in case Lewis had to miss some action in a game they had to win. He has been in late in some of their blowouts, which I noticed by looking at the boxscores. Maybe they have been getting some quality snaps(early 4th qtr while the other teams main defensive players are still in) to a backup for insurance purposes, which to me seems more important than any reason I can think of to keep him in games that are already decided.

I can see your point there, I just hadn't seen anything in the boxscore that looked just completely unreasonable like the situation in WV a couple of weeks ago. I haven't actually seen Clay or Lewis in person just on the highlights so I don't know exactly how early they get him out, I had just been going from boxscores and it seemed as though most of the 4th quarter touchdowns were on runs.

You're having some problems getting over that one aren't you 3wishes. Even if Clay did play a couple of sophs, is it worth all the moaning and groaning? It was a freshman game for crying out loud, let's move on.:irked:

That's right. Get over it, move on. The Rock is hard!!

Clay County - 39

Knox Central - 22

Told you so...Central wins and weak schedule hurts Clay....
