October 28, 20178 yr How good of a coach is he? Is he still living off the success of Jameis Winston? FSU isn't going to make a bowl game for the first time in 35 years? That's unacceptable. That team is extremely talented and just got blown off the field by Boston College. That should never happen at FSU.

October 28, 20178 yr I think Jimbo is a good coach but he let his staff get stagnant, and now it will take a few years to make it right. The deficit this will create in recruiting is very damaging. Jimbo had successful FSU teams before Winston, and they've had successful years since. Just nothing outside the Winston era that was truly elite. This year was a complete trainwreck as soon as Francois got hurt.
October 28, 20178 yr Stoops isn't fit to hold Jeremy Pruitt's jock. THAT'S the staff change that was catastrophic. FSU defense got better after Stoops left.

I feel Jimbo needs to do some self reflection like Brian Kelly did. Fired a lot of his staff including some assistants who were in his wedding. You have to make tough decisions in this business or someone else will make them for you.

You’re not gonna find another Jeremy Pruitt but you can find someone better than kelly. And o-line coaches are a dime a dozen, surely they could hire one that would/could do a better job than Trickett. Until he lays the hammer FSU won’t be dominant.

That FSU team that took the field against Bama was a good team. They lose their elite QB and insert a Freshman, and people act like they are not supposed to miss a beat. This happens almost every year to LSU, when they lose to Bama all of those NFL draft picks start listening to agents and play not to get injured. Those guys have packed it in for the draft.

Francois doesn't play defense. As bad as the offense has been for FSU the defense has been worse. Francois is a hell of a player and they wouldn't be 2-5 with him out there. But even the FSU team that played against Bama was still way overhyped. I'm guilty of that myself. I thought FSU was the best team in the country going into the season. I thought if the o line could improve marginally, everyone was going to have a real hard time beating them because they returned so much on defense and Francois is a stud. Obviously I, and a bunch of other people were wrong. So yeah the team that played Bama is better than this team simply based on motivation, but I don't think FSU was a good team even when they played Bama.
October 30, 20178 yr Francois may not play D but he directly effects them. Him going down put a ton of pressure on their D. In a sense of the D will have to win every game. They were playing tight after the fact but have since packed it in. The positive is they’ll probably only lose James and McFadden off this team.
