October 30, 20178 yr Francois doesn't play defense. As bad as the offense has been for FSU the defense has been worse. Francois is a hell of a player and they wouldn't be 2-5 with him out there. But even the FSU team that played against Bama was still way overhyped. I'm guilty of that myself. I thought FSU was the best team in the country going into the season. I thought if the o line could improve marginally, everyone was going to have a real hard time beating them because they returned so much on defense and Francois is a stud. Obviously I, and a bunch of other people were wrong. So yeah the team that played Bama is better than this team simply based on motivation, but I don't think FSU was a good team even when they played Bama. Nobody holds Bama to 260 yards and is overhyped. That game was lost solely on special teams.

Too many 3 and outs, turnovers that keep the defense on the field. Not to mention the leadership aspect of the team. Francois may not play defense but he helps the defense by scoring points on offense and keep his defense off the field.

I think my opinion on Bama stems more from the fact that we still don't know much about them. Outside of Georgia, none of the undefeated teams have played anyone. Bama is at one based on reputation alone. I think Bama has some flaws that haven't had the chance to be exploited because they haven't played anyone. Most of the issues stem from Jalen Hurts ability to throw the ball with consistency.

Bama has LSU Auburn and Miss St coming up plus Georgia in the title game we will know soon enough. But I agree they have not really played anyone and it isn't there fault FSU stinks. It's not like Wisconsin who refused to schedule anyone. But that is why Georgia should be #1.
