October 19, 20178 yr Another "So Cincy" event - Coney Island's "Night of Lights" will be back this year with an additional acre and a half of lights. I chatted up the folks who are building it/running it one night at the Hitching Post on Kellogg Avenue. Will be curious to see if it is as popular this year as last. I think they said it would fire up on November 11th.
October 19, 20178 yr So was this event synchronized to music? Or just simply a variety of light shows against buildings throughout downtown? I could handle about 30 mins and then would check out. Thinking a variety of drugs enhanced this experience for many...:lol2:

Bands in blocked off party areas with illuminated blow up figs, interactive stations throughout a 20 by 6 block area.

If there were bands that i enjoy i would be more likely to attend. I can see this really taking off with the 20-30 something crowd. Glad to hear it was well attended and small business benefited from it.
October 20, 20178 yr The City is notorious for doing things that are fiscal irresponsible. This is/was just another example. Instead of shooting from the hip, why don't you look up and see how the event was paid for.

Then how is it fiscally irresponsible? The list of sponsors for this event is a who's who of Cincinnati corporate citizens and charitable foundations.
