Your much closer Ricky, good job. :thumb:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Russell Best Player, Best Depth in the region

2. Elliot Young guns have no fear, when their hitting, watch out

3. Rose Hill Best young talent, if they get consistent outside shooter, will win their district, will be better in march

4. Ashland 3-4 solid players, then huge drop off, depth will not allow them to run like fans want

5. Rowan some solid players, will have to prove they can beat a good team, not real solid defensively

6. Greenup Will Hicks be able to pull the team together or will team implode? chemistry will be issue

7. Boyd Not sure if they know how to win but they have some solid players led by Blanton

8. Morgan Haney is solid player, supporting cast will have to prove themselves before I can move up, great coaching

9. Raceland Johnson always overachieves, decent group could pull off some surprises this year

10. East Carter shooters, but no size, rebounding and defending the post will kill them

Vu, if your accurate the Class A tournament should be a dandy with Elliott, Rose Hill, and Raceland.

I hope your right in your assessment of Rose Hill. Until they beat Russell, Elliott, Ashland or someone of the ilk it is hard for me to put them in the top 5. Everyone knows my bias but I'm just being as objective as possible.

How many guys do you need to run? At Pendleton Biggs ran all night and only played 6-7 guys. If your in shape you can play that way. We shall see but why is not foreseeable that 3-4 more guys can step up and fit into the new system. :dancingpa

6-7 studs is plenty to run with, but that is not the number at Ashland

(unfortunately) and he won't get any of his players to work with until after

football. This is going to be a transistion year for Ashland

With McDavid, Thomas, and Wilcox, Ashland will be very competitive. I honestly am not that familiar with any other juniors on their roster but I understand that they have a good sophomore class.

Vu, my question is what are they going to transition to?

I think Greenup is being overlooked in the ratings. They return some solid players in Brown, Wolfenbarker, and the sleeper of the region Justin Middleton. Also the Wright twins return for the Musketeers. A definite top 5 team in the 16th.

I agree with Bilas you cannot overlook Greenup especially if the players have improved over the summer. They are very well coached, may be the best defensive team in the region. They play as hard or maybe harder than anyone.

I agree about Greenup. After Russell the next 9 spots are pretty close.

Frankly, after watching the Tomcats under the former regime, I'm curious what the style/tempo will be for them. Looking forward to seeing them play for that reason alone.

Who is Justin Middleton? posistion?

I bet your not nearly as excited as Matt Thomas. Bigg's system should fit him nicely.
