Well it doesn't look like the Yankees have much faith is slugger A-Rod as they drop him to the 8th spot in the batting lineup for game 4 today. Sheffield is playing 1st base and Melkey is in LF with Matsui being the DH. Could be the last lineup card Torre fills out as a Yankee coach and it could be the last Yankee lineup card that has Sheffield and A-Rod in it! I can't wait!!!!

To be honest I can see where a lot of people think the Braves are overrated, but if you really look at it then the only time the Braves were given hype was during the regular season which was backed up. Once the postseason began then they were usually the underdog in every matchup. The Braves never had an overpowering lineup and they still managed to make the playoffs, but the Yankees have probably the greatest lineup ever and still can't get it done. I would say the Yanks are more overrated than the Braves. But I will agree that in some aspect the Braves were overrated.:thumb:

It's a question of being the lesser of two evils I suppose. Would you rather by overrated or underachievers? It has to be one of them, especially the Braves.

That's what the Tigers needed, to get a good start early. I thought at one time, Wright was going to be an outstanding pitcher years ago. His FB looks a little flat today and location, is getting him in trouble.

 

How about Detroit, been a while since us fans were watching games in October, that meant something....:banana:

I'm excited for Detroit and I hope they can pull this one out, not only for the fans of the Motor City but also to see how many heads will roll this offseason in the Yankee clubhouse!

It's still early and a lot of Baseball to play....I'm a Detroit man, though.

Now the part about the heads rolling I agree with ..."the Boss" is not going to be a happy camper:D . Then again, "the Boss" is never really happy, even when they are winning.I am 100% for the Yankees in this series but if Detroit wins it I wish them the best the rest of the way.

It'd be better to be overrated I suppose, since that just means you weren't actually as good as everyone said. Underachieving meant you were good and blew it. I'd say the Braves were underachievers up until about the last few years, and then I think they exceeded expectations just making it, and then in the playoffs did what they should have been expected to do. Maybe a little bit of underachieving there as well.

 

On the actual game note, Yankees are getting ROCKED!
