"We had our 4th team FG team in and didn't have a field goal block play for them so we called timeout to put 2nd string in" Like dude come on we all know you called timeout to preserve the shut out. Be a man and own up to it. Franklin is beyond classless and it's not the first time he has done something like this. For the record I'm not defending Franklin. I just really don't understand kicking the FG in that spot.

He called me from Buckhorn Lake where he is camping out this weekend and asked me if the Reds won last night. I told him that I saw on the sports crawl on ESPN that they'd lost but what did it really matter, they're a zillion games out of first place and it's late September. If you're behind in a football game 56 points with 11 seconds left it doesn't matter if you score or not, other than to avoid a shutout. Obviously Franklin wanted to try to keep the shutout, I suppose to reward his defense with the big Zero. I'm not saying he's going to win the Outstanding Person of the Year Award, though.
September 23, 20178 yr 56-0 looks a lot better than 56-3. Style points matter with the way the playoffs teams are selected in today's game.
