October 3, 200619 yr If that is indeed the rule, which I don't trust the announcers(see Kase hit vs. Geathers hit), then it contradicts the "ground can't cause a fumble" rule. If a play is over when a ball carrier hits the ground, then why not a receiver? He caught it, controlled it, and got both feet in. I think its a stupid rule, and I agree with you, but the ground can cause an incompetion, where as it cannot cause a fumble...I dont agree with it, but it is the rule.

You gave him no credit when if Brady throws it on target James intercepts it anyway. He was 5 yards in front of Gabriel, but he still would have intercepted it.

Actually Joseph blew a coverage which made James late getting there. Tory wanted the "handoff" and Joseph stayed with the inside man who broke outside. Joseph was supposed to take the outside man who broke inside. The recievers crossed and it appeared that Joseph blew the coverage. Luckily the pass was off and James made a play.

CBs , unlike almost any other position on the field, do not get "mulligans". That's why they are paid so handsomely. Re: the INT. Classic #20 INT - instead of intercepting one or, heck, knocking a ball down on HIS man, he takes advantage of someone else's mistake. Its better than not taking advantage of it but, just occasionally, I'd like to see him make a strong play on HIS man.
