Bowling Green 48 Owensboro 21

6 turnovers by Owensboro wow you wont beat many teams doing that

Red Devils certainly didn't help themselves with turnovers and injuries but the difference between Red Devils and PRP speed = no comparison. Red Devils vs St X size = not even close.

Testament to how good Purples teams of recent years have been in beating all of those Louisville teams.

Purples seem to outmatch Owensboro at pretty much every position, except QB.

Although BG scored 48, Vito Tisdale only carried ball maybe 7 or 8 times. Still had over 100 all purpose yards with 2 TDs.

I know 5A has a small handful of good teams and maybe a couple of great teams but tonight was a good litmus test for Purples. Time to coast for a couple of weeks with running clocks. Purples need to heal up some. BGHS is more banged up now than they have been in several years. These games coming up should help

Purples should keep getting better. They will make a run for it this year again for the ring. Teams better get Purples this year. They're going to be pretty dog gone good again next season

Good win tonight!

The Purples have at last evened the series at 38 all (38-38-2) after twelve straight wins. They once trailed the series 32-11.

Owensboro starts a lot of sophomores and a Freshman at linebacker i think they will be pretty good in the future also again if you take away the turnovers this is a lot closer game but there part of the game if you commit that many turnovers more than likely you lose

OHS didn't have their FB and lost their starting QB in the 2nd. Moved the ball and it was 24-14 at half I think. Backup QB is young and struggled with many TO's that helped BG way too much. Both teams are young.

Every position? Wow. Just wow.

I'm not going to get on here and say anything other than to tip my hat to BG. OHS laid an egg and BG made them pay. It's like I said Wednesday night on the Homers Show and I'll say it again: This game didn't mean squat. Even had OHS won, I'd have said the same thing. It's all about the playoff game in November.

BG absolutely deserved to win the game, and I hope OHS can hold up their end of the bargain to see this game played again at Rash Stadium in November.

I thought OHS moved the ball well, not sure of final stats. As far as comparing teams, I think It was much harder for OHS to move the ball on Mater DEI than BG. OHS seemed to get more chunks against BG. IF OHS would have set up Mater Dei like their turnovers to BG, that game would have been a huge blowout. Owsleyhad a 25 TD TD run and 60 yd TD reception and played safety...maybe he could come off the bench for BG...;)

I guess my statement was a bit too strong. Number 5 for OHS is real deal. Good looking athlete. My point was that in each of the major positions, BG "seemed" like they were a step ahead. Respect for OHS, not intentional statement

I believe you PN - no worries.

Stats:

Yards BG 345 OHS 327 (BG reporting)

Turnovers BG 1 OHS 6

Third downs BG 4-11 OHS 8-12 (off HUDL)

OHS probably had 25 yes of offense last series and BG had put backups in. Pretty good production from OHS missing QB. BG definitely generates TUrnovers, they were forced BY BG so have to give the purples D credit. Their O is solid but they are young. Both teams will improve a lot by end of season

Also very impressed with 2 Linebackers for BG Dingle was everywhere and Jackson.

Watched OHS HUDL highlights and stream of game. Harris and Owsley are athletes. Don't think I would trade Owsley for anyone...I'm sure you feel the same about tisdale ..phenom as well
