gchs_uk9 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Which team, on the outside of the Class 3A top ten, do you think should be considered a ranked team? Who do you expect to rise into the rankings going forward? Is it Casey County? New skill players but same success thus far. Fleming County? Ugly win against Mason, but still a win. Lots of talent returning. Bell County? Dudley Hilton has the Bobcats 2-0. Larue County? Josh Jaggers has the Hawks 2-0 Maybe Garrard? Waggener? Union County? Pike County Central? What about surprisingly unbeaten Pendleton County, Knott County Central or Floyd Central?
4chs Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Bell Co. and Casey Co. play such weak schedules that it will be hard to judge them until later in the year, so it would be difficult for me to put either one in the Top 10. I am impressed with the job Stonebreaker has done at Casey Co. and their game at Bell Co. on the 29th should tell us a lot.

Agreed With what Casey lost from a very good team last year I expected them to take a step back. Instead they seemingly are still playing at a very high level. Stonebreaker is doing an excellent job in my estimation
DevilMayCare Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Before Zac Alexander was lost for the season with a knee injury, I would have said Fleming County, especially if they looked good in their upcoming game against Greenup County. Fleming is far from a one man team, but Alexander was their best player. It'll be interesting to see where they go from here.

He is a very good athlete and very good football player. I agree that Fleming had my eye, now we must wait and see if there are any other weapons for fleming, and if they are enough to earn them a top spot. I believe Greenup will be a challenge for them.
Purple88 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 @ATLCat and @4chs, Curious to know what do you see happening in the Bell County v Pike County Central game?
ATLCat Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 @ATLCat and @4chs, Curious to know what do you see happening in the Bell County v Pike County Central game? Bell is improved but they have beat two "meh" teams. Pike Central handled Shelby Valley with ease, but SV is not very good. Coach Ratliff should have PC playing a bit better this year in his second season. I would consider Pike Central to be a team probably in the 17-20 range of the class... Bell is probably in that 12-15 range. I think Bell wins by a couple scores.
Hearsay Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 The word from the courthouse in Hodgenville the other day was that the Larue County Hawks are very talented team.
