Ashland needs a W to stop an 0-2 start for the 2nd straight season. Not going to lie Ashland must play much better then tonight and actually play 4 quarters. Should be a pretty good game and atmosphere.

Will be a great atmosphere and packed house as usual. Raceland suprised me against LC. Going to take 4 quarters of football, but I like our special teams and our speed defensively. I look for depth to play an issue going into the 4th quarter, but these young Rams played loose and looked like they were having a lot of fun out there tonight. Going with the Rams in a close one.

Rams 35

Tom cats 32

Who win this battle of cross county rivals? Raceland coming in 1-0 while Ashland is at 0-1 on a very poor showing.

If we play like we did for the first 2 1/2 qtrs of the LC game for 4 qtrs at Ashland, I like our chances. The biggest obstacle we always have is the lack of depth that Ashland has over us. Doesn't mean they're in better condition, just their 2's and 3's are just as good as most of their 1's. We can't say that across the board.

Raceland will definitely have to put 4 quarters in this week. Ashland will be a little sore after the long trip to Harlan County coming back with a poor performance and a loss.

Should be a great atmosphere, like always. Ashland is going to have to play much better to come out of Putnam Stadium with the win, and avoid a 2 game losing streak to the Rams. We are going to have to have some type of ground game. The passing game should be there, granted, Ratliff needs time. This game, and I hate using the cliche, will be won in the tranches.

Ashland doesn't appear to be as big as usual up front. Is this correct?

Bigger then last season but no their not 270-300 pounders on the line.

Love said on pre game Sat. That Ashland 2 years ago averaged 280 on the OL last season 200 this season 230.

Really don't care if they weigh 150 they need to block someone and open up some holes

According to Ashland's roster, they've only got two kids that tip the scales at 250+ (one of them is injured), compared to eight for Raceland, despite the fact that Ashland has about 430 boys and Raceland has about 160. If you lower the weight to 230+, Ashland's only got 5 kids that meet that criteria (one of them is a TE), compared to 15 for the Rams.

There's got to be some big boys walking the halls at Blazer. For whatever reason, they're just not coming out for football. Ashland had a big OL two years ago, but they were all seniors. This makes two years in a row that the Tomcats are very undersized on the lines. And, barring a lot of natural growth from the younger kids, it doesn't appear that that's going change for the foreseeable future.

Theirs plenty of big boys, they for whatever reason don't want to play football. I see them everyday.
