Saw this guy last week in Corbin. He is from Taylorsville, KY and a UK graduate. Very charismatic performer who is making some waves in Nashville. He wrote this for his wife. This is his wife in the video. They were married a couple months ago.

This song "Shake Me Down" is from their 2nd release in 2011 "Thank You, Happy Birthday" and their breakthrough hit that put them on the map.

 

Their 4th and latest release from 2015 "Tell Me I'm Pretty" was produced by the famous and hugely sought after producer, and lead singer/guitarist of the Black Keys, Dan Auerbach from Akron, Oh.

 

Louisville band King Kong put out 6 full length releases between 1989-2007 with their signature release and song being called "Funny Farm" from 1993, and while that song used to be available on Youtube, unfortunately it no longer is, but the "Tornado" song from the same album does a good job of displaying what an original and quirky novelty band they were.

 

At first I wasn't sure if I could take them seriously, but after I bought a couple of their releases I discovered that they were really a very infectious snappy band that had you bouncing your head, and tapping your foot.
