Let's get back to Ryle - CovCath.

 

I have talked to some well connected people this week, both sides are feeling confident.

 

I expect Ryle to be very physical.

 

I expect CovCath to be well-rounded.

Funny, I talked to one assistant from both teams, both of whom are friends. Ryle said they were worried about CCH qb, because of his arm and scrambling that they may not see combo again this year. CCH coach was worried about their own O line. Interesting how two different people hear two different things.

Either way, can't be there because of work but one guarantee. It will be packed and atmosphere will be the best of the year for NKY game.I know many alumni from cch are headed down.

This may be an emotional high for CCH with stadium, lights, fans and having played in The Pit, this definitely has a major effect. I see CCH winning over Ryle in a tight hard physical game. Final score CCH 23 Ryle 21

Offensive line looks good so they're running game will be good. The quarter back is no Tanner Morgan so look for short yardage passing. Our defensive line is good. Only question will be with our secondary. Corner backs and safety will really need to step up this season.

Cornerbacks are Rytlewski and Cusick, correct? Zach has lots of experience and Cusick is very athletic with good fundamentals. Did anyone see him plant the Trinity receiver with a perfect form tackle in the scrimmage?! Text book tackle. He'll learn as he gains experience. The safeties are pretty good too. I think they had trouble against Trinity because Trinity is that good. They will look better against NKY teams.

 

I think the quarterback is the biggest question mark simply because he isn't Tanner Morgan and hasn't seen much action in the starting rotation. If the running game can buy him some time to get acclimated to live action, he may settle into his role nicely. If he can provide the offense with a more balanced attack, then Ryle should be fine. If the passing game is not working well, inaccurate passes, missed reads, bad routes by receivers, then Ryle will still be a very good team that may struggle against the best in NKY. Offense is where the more significant questions lie, in my mind.
