How does Pikeville look since they lost their QB?

HC lost a TON, and by a TON, I mean about everything you can lose from a team. I don't see how Pikeville doesn't walk through this one.

Pikeville graduated some key players last year plus as others have mentioned has lost a really good quarterback. Still, I'm going with the Pikeville Panthers in this one.

Pikeville had a great freshman class last season, along with some proven sophomores that will make a difference down the road I guess this could be looked at as a bridge year for the Panthers as the next couple years they should be scary good. But as for this season, no doubt heavy losses through graduation, along with losing the talents of QB Wyatt Battaile through injury and surgery will certainly take it's toll. Can't say for sure whether RB Evan Rhodes will return at this point or not, but what it is, is what it is. This young group will take it's share of losses this season, but with Coach Mac and the proven Coaching staff at PHS they will mature, grow, and learn. With the young talent that's there, I really believe great things are in the future for them. Having said all of this , and what little I know about Covington Holy Cross, i'm going with the home team; the young Panthers in this one.

Holy Cross has both the starting quarterback and the backup returning with a few others who played a tremendous amount last year returning. Other than that, you are spot-on unfortunately.

Pikeville's off-seaosn has been very unkind.

 

Graduate a solid group and lose their star QB and a couple complimentary players to either a decision not to play or injury.

 

I still think I will take Pikeville in a tight game.

HC lost a ton. That's for sure. However, they picked up a large group of very athletic freshman this year. The team will take some lumps this year. Hopefully that builds this young group up to a strong force in the next few years. This sounds like it may be a great and pretty even game for both teams.
