How about if we tally up and everyone come clean about the dirty deeds they implemented in the last election. Or the election before? There's enough mud slinging to go around. The pot calling the kettle black is getting REAL OLD.

Don't know if a law has been broken or not. Not a lawyer. Maybe laws have been broken. Maybe not. Regardless, faith in our democratic process has been shaken and that is something that should concern every single American.

 

Op-research is part of the political game. But you don't play the op-research game with a foreign power, especially your number one enemy in the world. You just don't do it!!! You don't go there. You hang up the phone. You don't take the meeting. You immediately notify the FBI. If you take that meeting, the enemy knows you are open to playing the game. Playing this game with an enemy like Russia opens you up to being blackmailed. Russia wants things from the US. If they have things they can hold over the heads of our leaders, our nation's policies are compromised. Everyone on here knows that you don't cooperate with a hostile power like Russia over opposition research. What would your reaction be if it had been another campaign that had done the exact same thing? Let's all be intellectually honest with one another.

 

I think we know. The "your guy did it, too" is in everyone's playbook. On both sides. It's a great fallback when things aren't going your guy's way.
