No Winker in the lineup today....Just dumb.

Would love to know Price's reasoning. I agree it's stupid.

On the mental side of it, perhaps it's this...

Kid gets called up, go ahead and get him a start as soon as possible so he doesn't have to think about it too much/too long.

Then, since he had some success last night, give him a break to let everything sink in (since his family was in town).

I'd hope he'd get him back in the starting lineup tomorrow then.

From a hitting standpoint, maybe he just doesn't like the pitching matchup?

Joey Votto not running out a ground ball costs the Reds a run. Pete Rose just threw up on himself if he's watching.

Hamilton yet again failed to get runner in from third with less than one out. This seems like every time lately.

At what point does it make sense to send Garrett back down where he won't get his brains beat out most appearances? He clearly is not learning anything at the big league level except how to deal with losses and a high era.

Here's the thing, for me...he was pitching decently until the Reds decided to send him down in the first place! Yeah, it was all under the guise of a.) reducing the number of innings he pitched, and b.) trying to delay starting the clock on him. It certainly looks like that backfired though, in his results since being called back up.

Luis Castillo will get the ball Friday.

I hope he pitches well enough that it makes it very difficult to send him down.

Where did you hear that news by the way?

I'm the GM, I make the news....:D

Seriously though, Price told reporters today.

But you don't want Arroyo either. We can't have it both ways.

Why can't we give Garrett's arm to Arroyo?

Runner on 3rd, less than 2 outs and Billy brings him in....For those of you keeping track of those sorts of things.
