Reports are that they had a divorce agreement drawn up for when he lost the election but he ended up winning the election and they had to go back to the drawing board. Whether this is is true or not is unknown but it does explain her cold behavior to President Trump as well as her and Barron staying in New York.

June 3, 20179 yr Author Poor Barron. You ain't lying. He is likely a prop for his mom and dad and given his circumstances that is an incredibly sad reality. I feel bad for the kid. He has zero chance at a normal life and he didn't ask for any of it.

Not sure if George W and Laura are but George HW and Barbara most certainly fit the bill of a happy couple.
