Who said it about ISIS?

No cheating, no searching, who said it about ISIS:

"I'm the naive and complacent American who lives without fear in my country. I ain't worried about them fools."

Someone in the news or here cuz that sounds like someone here to me.

That's what I thought. That sounds like PurplePride!

I take that back. I don't think he would have used the improper grammar. I still have no idea. I'm gonna say Charles Barkley.

That was easy.

Hey @PurplePride92 Do you still feel the same way?

I can't answer your initial question, and my apologies if I'm misreading this as a green light for an open discussion regarding ISIS, but I found this to be an interesting read. Hard to swallow if accurate.

Admittedly I'm lacking in my knowledge of foreign affairs regarding all of the complexities of the Middle East to be able to determine if it's completely on point, or rather just a misleading analysis.

The writer of the piece, a research scholar at Harvard, seems to have dotted all his I's, and crossed all his T's, so I'm inclined to believe that what he's saying is quite plausible.

We'll likely never admit to our country's own time and again involvement in helping to facilitate these such terrorist groups, even if it's an adverse effect of a primary mission, but we need to learn from past atrocities such as 911 etc.. that we're doing ourselves no favors by putting weapons into the hands of extreme radicals.

I feel that way. I'm not worried about ISIS. I'm not gonna win the lottery and I will never be terrorized by ISIS.

Absolutely. Why would I feel differently?

Because their ultimate goal is to kill you and your children and the only reason they haven't done it yet is because they haven't had the opportunity.

No this is not a thread giving anyone not allowed to post in the Politics Forum the green light to post about Politics.

I challenge anyone here on BGP to tell us how to handle ISIS without bringing any politics into the discussion.

Because their ultimate goal is to kill you and your children and the only reason they haven't done it yet is because they haven't had the opportunity.

I'll be shocked if they ever make it to America to kill me and my children and much like what I said in the thread about the 6 year old boy that was killed by those 3 sorry individuals there isn't a person on this planet that can stop God's plan. I refuse to live in fear of any person on this planet. What is going to happen is going to happen and I am not going to lose sleep worrying about it.
