I will be alot of fun to see how the coaching staffs adjust to each other early on. Will Newport have a big crowd?

 

I hope so, they seem to show up pretty good for big games. We havent played any great teams in the last few weeks so hopefully the weather is decent an ppl show up. I think im gonna give work the old im sick and cant come in routine so i can go to the game.

Alot of the anger and resintment has been replaced by excitement and joy over how these kids have been so much better together. So if they come up short of their goals this year it will be hard on the kids but the fan support is set in stone and growing. So they have already won somthing bigger then a state championship. They've brought an entire community that was split for so many years together as one rooting for the same team together. The crowd at the Boyle Co game was magical with the stands full 2 hours before kickoff 100's of tailgaters behind the endzone and 8 or 9 deep all around the track. That's home cookin like I've never seen it before here. That's what alot of people don't understand. So to me I don't care about history. I'm looking forward to the future and watching all these kids in our community grow up and go through our program and take it to places we haven't seen. And they will. Id love to see alot of you guys and our ppl at the game tomorrow for a big time atmosphere. The game deserves it. By the way if Newport scores 21 points I think we have a good shot to pull off the upset.

I wasn't trying to disprespect anyone, my point being that everyone talks about Mercers offense, and you see very few posts concerning their defense. Teams struggle to score vs. Mercer and if anyone thinks Newport will hold Mercer to 7 points they are kidding themselves.

Way to back your team. The number one team in the state has a big target now. Newport is very good and they know the season could be on the line tonight. This game will be decided on the play of the linemen. Newport wins in overtime.

I like the Wildcats in a low scoreing game, if the total score is less than 20 points they win.
