That's enough for now. I'm becoming physically ill.

Amazing nobody has mentioned "Muskrat Love" yet.

Most probably know of Captain and Tennille doing the song, but I bet many didn't know, or have forgotten that the group "America" did it too.

One more good reason for me to be at-best ambivalent about the band America. They always struck me as a bit too breezy cheezy. Fake deep.

I can see how you might say that.

If you didn't dig the Eagles I can see where you'd also not care for America.

I was too young to catch them live when I was digging them the most, but in '71 when I was 7 they came out with "A Horse With No Name" that I immediately loved, and a series of hits after that solidified them for me as one of my favorite childhood bands.

"Lonely People", "I Need You", "Ventura Highway", "Tin Man", "Sister Golden Hair", and "Sandman" were my favorites. I didn't much care for them during their phase with stuff like "You Can Do Magic" which did cheeseball me out.

I've always been a sucker for smooth folky acoustic harmonies like CSN&Y and the like, but by comparison I can see where America could be seen as "Hippy-Lite".

Yeah it's a little better, I just can't get past the bad singing.

Liked them a lot early on. Last concert before I went off to college was them and Jackson Browne.

They got worse as time went on.
