March 15, 20179 yr New Orleans should have fouled instead of playing out the shot clock. Not enough time. It did not make sense. There was about 22 seconds down 1. Foul, the worst was 3 down with 10-15 seconds. If you miss a 3 you still probably have time to foul again and maybe get another shot. Going full court in 2.7 seconds is just not a very good percentage of something positive happening. A real head scratcher.

Conceivably could have gotten 3-4 possessions. It would be interesting to hear what the coach said. He probably was asked, I just haven't looked it up, yet.
March 15, 20179 yr Just absolutely dumb to not foul. Even if they make both you have plenty of time to get a good look at a 3 or try and get a quick 2 and foul again and see if they make both again. Going to full length of the court in 2.7 seconds is horrible strategy. I guess that's why they were in the play in game though.
