March 10, 20179 yr Very Jekyl and Hyde type season for the Cards. I feel clueless on what to expect in the tournament. Speaking of, the tournament could be very interesting, seems like a year where truly anything can happen.

Speaking of, the tournament could be very interesting, seems like a year where truly anything can happen. I honestly don't know how up and down it was. They beat almost everyone but don't have it put together enough to run with the big boys away from home. We've seen that before. 2014 comes to mind. The 2009 squad had a little of that.
March 10, 20179 yr Probably depends on what UK does and how the Kansas loss affects their seeding? Kansas will still be a 1.

I agree that this season has a very similar feel to 2014.
March 10, 20179 yr 4-21 from 3 & 15-26 from FT, I am shocked it was as close as it was. UofL failed to adapt when Duke went 2-3 zone. They acted like they had never seen such a thing. UofL cannot defend effectively without fouling. Somehow they had 2 team fouls over the 1st 11:02 of the game and 21 over the next 28:58. Poor fundamentals. 2 v. 3 seed is not a huge difference, particularly this year. Perhaps it puts UK in the matchup with NKU in Indy as a #2 seed rather than UofL. Fine with me. Foul on Snider at 14:11 was a total phantom call made by an official on the other side of the floor with 3 players in between him and the ball and a trail official looking right at it. Foul on Levitch on Allen 3 at 8:59 was not a foul. Levitch WOULD HAVE fouled him if he had stayed upright, but he kicked out his leg (Kobe style) and fell down before Levitch could make contact with him and the zebra fell for it. Critical point in Duke's run to get back in the game. All of that said, UofL did not deserve to win the game and the officiating did not decide the game. Silver lining? Maybe people will stop telling Mitchell to go pro.
March 10, 20179 yr Does this knock UL to a 3 seed? Would probably screw up all the NKU vs. UL projections.
March 10, 20179 yr I'd imagine that usually when a team has three guys score a combined 67 points, they don't often lose.
