Can North Hardin get to the regional final without Tony Jackson & Trace Young (latest is both will be out for the entire region and couldn't return until state tournament)? A lot of people in Hardin County would love to see a re-match of last night's championship game in the 17th district between John & North.

I see. I guess Thursday (and Monday if they survive LaRue) is going to be one of those classic situations where it will all become clear once we see who's on the floor and who's not.

I would have gotten a better read on Adair tonight had there been some actual defense played in the game.

Midway thru 2nd quarter, LaRue County led 21-12.

 

Entering the fourth quarter, North Hardin leads 34-28.

 

LaRue County scored 21 points in first 12 minutes, 7 points in next 12.

 

North Hardin scored 12 points in first 12 minutes, 22 points in next 12.

LaRue County beats North Hardin, 51-44.

After tonight's win vs. North Hardin, LaRue is one win away from first region finals berth since 1995 and two wins away from 1st State trip since 1988

 

Tonight was the 17th District's first postseason loss to LaRue since 1987 region semis at Nelson (LaRue 66, North 63). 17th District (i.e. the Hardins, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox and formerly Meade) was 8-0 since.

2 big time upsets tonight with Taylor and Larue winning. Though without Young and Jackson playing for North it probably wasn't an upset. Should be 2 really good games Monday night.

Sure gives Adair County a great path to the finish line.
