Elliott is showing they may still be the team to beat in the 16th. Only Boyd's second 16th region loss and the two teams to beat them will be playing to open up the 62nd District tournament.

Would you put Elliott above Boyd in the rankings now?

Never any doubt in my mind. Elliott County is and has been the team to beat in the 16th this year. And I'm not saying that they are unbeatable, but they are my pick to win it. That being said they do have matchup problems with West Carter, but that can be overcome.

When I fill out my picks for the Sweet 16 I will have Elliott as my pick in the 16th region.

 

This is why I don't put a crazy amount of emphasis on Cantrall ratings. They have Boyd at 1 this week and Elliott at 3, but Elliott then goes to Boyd's floor and soundly defeats them.
